We are so excited to have finally announced our play this year.
** Girls - don’t despair. Newsies on Broadway is very male heavy when it comes to leads. Newsies JR. has many parts that can be auditioned for females. The list of characters will be out November 1st.
Here is the information we handed out about lead auditions. Please look at the dates and make sure you don’t have conflicts. If you are picked for a lead for the musical we ask that you do not audition for leads with other theater companies during the months of January and February. This is an intense show and we worry about kids trying to stay caught up with school, see their families, and meet the demands of one show.
LEAD AUDITION DATES
Tuesday November 7th at 3 pm. Sign ups will be by Mrs Bingham’s room starting
November 1st.
CALLBACKS
Tuesday November 14th at 3 pm
DANCE CORE AUDITIONS
Thursday November 9th 3-4pm
We are finalizing the rehearsal calendar. Right now it looks like we will practice the following days:
DECEMBER - Mondays and Thursdays after school
JANUARY - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school
FEBRUARY - Monday-Thursday after school
WEEK BEFORE THE PLAY - Everyday, including Saturday
Not everyone will be called to come to after school practice. Some of those will be just for dance core and leads.
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING - November 27th at 6pm (first day of the new tri)
